Still in a coma, but showing signs of improvement, Brooke was transported to Mediplex Rehabilitation Center, a facility skilled in rehabilitation of head injured patients.
Brooke would remain there for nearly 4-months until funds for rehabilitation were exhausted.
In January, 6-1/2 months after the accident, Brooke returned home hemi-plegic (paralyzed) on her right side, blind in the right hemisphere of each eye, unable to speak, unable to walk and unable to eat.
For two years Brooke had to be fed by a pump through a tube directly into her stomach.
By now Brookes medical costs had exceeded half a Million dollars.
